St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The Crown volleyball team welcomed UW-Superior to town for the first time since the former Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference team joined the UMAC. The visitors felt comfortable enough in their new surroundings to cruise to a 3-0 win.
The Yellowjackets played a very clean match, hitting .344 and recording seven aces on the night.
Crown countered by hitting a decent .100, with 27 kills. Leading the way was
Katie Hinkle who had nine kills on just 15 total attack attempts.
Brittany Gamer had 23 assists playing as the lone setter, but Crown simply couldn't keep pace with the bigger, more experience, UW-Superior.
Crown's next action will come at the St. Kate's Tourney, before the Storm host Bethany Lutheran on October 20
