St. Paul, Minn. – The Storm volleyball team took to the road last weekend for a tournament hosted by St. Kate's, playing four games over two days. Crown finished 0-4, losing each game by a 3-0 score.
The Storm opened the tournament against St. Kate's, with
Alayna Kohler leading the way with seven kills and 12 digs. That game was followed up with a matchup against Wartburg, with
Katie Hinkle's three kills being the top mark.
Day two saw losses to Macalester and Luther. The team hit -.077 against the Scots and -.036 against Luther. Hinkle and
Brittany Gamer had three kills to lead the team against Macalester, while Hinkle and
Kaitlin Ruiter each had five kills against Luther.
The Storm will try to shake off the tough weekend when they host Bethany Lutheran in UMAC action on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
