The Crown volleyball team played three matches early this week, hosting Hamline University and traveling to Morris to take on Presentation and Minnesota Morris in a Tuesday triangular. The Storm were swept 3-0 in all three matches.
On Monday night, Hamline got off to a great start and won all three sets comfortably. The Storm had a positive hitting percentage, but didn't have the firepower to match the MIAC team.
Alayna Kohler led Crown with six kills.
Tuesday brought a conference matchup with the Cougars, followed immediately by a neutral site meeting with the Presentation College Saints.
The Cougars jumped all over Crown in the first set, winning 25-6 and didn't look back en route to the 3-0 sweep. Crown managed only 14 kills for the match with no player totaling more than three.
The Saints weren't as dominant, but still cruised to a sweep behind 39 kills.
Kaylea Kidder and
Katie Hinkle led the Storm with five kills apiece, while Kohler had 13 digs.
Crown will continue their busy week when they host UW-Superior in another UMAC showdown at 7 p.m. on Friday.
