St. Paul, Minn. – The Crown volleyball team traveled to Northwestern on Wednesday for a triangular with the Eagles and Macalester College. Crown lost to Northwestern to start the evening, then were swept by Macalester at the end of the night.
The Eagles dispatched the Storm quickly, winning 25-3, 25-5, 25-8. The Storm were overwhelmed in every aspect of the game, recording just seven kills with 25 attacking errors for a -.202 hitting percentage.
The Storm had more success against Macalester, extending the second set, but still fell by a 3-0 score.
Katie Hinkle and
Kirby Beers led the team with seven kills apiece, while
Brittany Gamer had 22 assists and
Kelsey Roschen had 21 digs.
