Box Score Morris, Minn. – The Crown College Storm took to the road looking to add a fourth win on the season after rattling off two solid UMAC wins in the last two weeks.  Unfortunately, Crown would fall on the road in a disappointing 10-6 loss to the Cougars.
 
Crown jumped on the Cougars right away after kickoff embarking on a 17 play, 75 yard drive that saw Josh Edlund plunge in from six yards.  Sadly, the Storm would not hit paydirt again for the rest of the game.  The defense pitched a first half shutout in a stellar performance as they held the Cougars to under 30 first half yards.  Crown threatened at the end of the half, but could not finish a drive that saw backup Ryan Synoground throw an interception from the 17 yard line.
 
The second half would see more defensive stops as the Cougars missed a field goal and punted, but Crown was unable to move the ball offensively to add to their lead.  On the first play of the fourth quarter, Morris lined up for a field goal and lucked out as the holder was able to throw a touchdown on a fake field goal to go up 7-6 after the made PAT.
 
The Cougars would strike next again after a botched snap on a punt led to a short field for the Cougars who kicked a 20 yard field goal for a 10-6 lead.  After a failed fourth down conversion by the Storm, Crown got the ball back on the two yard line after Eli Dahl forced a fumble and it was recovered by Cody Ricketts.  Crown would drive 93 yards down to the two yard line before they were unable to punch it in.
 
Crown finished the game holding the Cougars to 183 total yards led by Joel Silva with eight tackles.  The offense managed 255 yards on 78 plays, well below their season average.
 
Crown will travel to Eureka, Illinois for their next game on October 24.
