St. Bonifacius, Minn. - The Crown College women's basketball team welcomed the Carleton College Knights to campus for the first ever game between the two schools.  Crown dug themselves a 14-0 hole before rallying to be down nine points at the half.  The second half saw another huge deficit to overcome, but Crown rallied to cut the deficit to five points at 57-52 with roughly three minutes remaining.  Crown's turnovers down the stretch hurt them though as the Knights closed the game on a 13-3 run to win 70-55.

The statistics were essentially identical between the two teams with the exception that the Knights were able to convert 24 Crown turnovers to 32 points.  By comparison, Crown was only able to convert 17 turnovers into 16 points.

Crown was led by Jessica Klaustermeier who had 17 points and six rebounds while Desiree Davis chipped in 12 points and six rebounds.

Crown returns to action on Saturday in Morris, Minnesota for their first UMAC contest.
