Morris, Minn. - The Crown College Women's Basketball team opened their 2015 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) season with a game at Morris, Minnesota against the Cougars. The experienced Cougars opened up a 30 point halftime lead en route to a 88-47 win over the youthful Storm.

Morris was uncanny from beyond the arc hitting 13-24 threes on their home court aiding the blowout win. ,Crown shot a chilly 29% from the floor including 0-7 from beyond the arc. ,Both teams were essentially identical in rebounding, and the Cougars had a slight edge in turnovers.

Desiree Davis had 11 points and seven rebounds to lead the Storm while Leah Breakfield also reached double figures with 10 points.

Crown's next UMAC game is next Friday at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota.
