St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The attacking woes of the Crown Volleyball team continued this weekend as the Storm were unable to keep pace with the high powered offenses of Bethany Lutheran and Martin Luther. Crown fell by scores of 3-0 to both UMAC opponents.
On Friday, Crown was only able to record 23 kills to 46 for the Vikings, losing by 25-16 scores in all three sets.
Katie Herrmann and
Kirby Beers each swung their way to six kills, and the team hit .103 for the game.
Kelsey Roschen led the defense with 10 digs.
Saturday's match would not be as kind to the hosts as Crown hit -.050, committing 17 errors to only 12 kills. Roschen's 11 digs and Herrmann's five kills both led the Storm.
Crown travels to Northland and St. Scholastica next weekend as they continue the first half of UMAC play.
