Jeremy Sather is entering his fifth season as the football defensive coordinator in 2016. Sather also serves as the strength and conditioning coordinator for the entire athletic department.Â
Sather comes to Crown after spending the 2011 season as the defensive backs coach and strength and conditioning coordinator for Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN. Before his time at Gustavus, Sather served as the defensive backs coach at Mandarine HS in Jacksonville, FL for the 2005 season, then returned to Minnesota as the defensive coordinator at Cedar Mountain-Comfrey HS in 2006. Sather was promoted to head coach the following year and served in that capacity from 2007-2010.
Sather will bring a new level of focus and intensity to the Crown defense.Â
When asked about his plans for the defensive side of the ball, Sather had the following to say. "I will bring a great passion and energy to each day. Our defense will work hard, focus on what we can control, and have a blast playing the greatest sport on earth."
Sather and his wife Christine have been married twelve years and have three children.Â
"I'm excited to have Christian athletes for my kids to look up to, that is what we are most excited for," noted Sather.
