Tyler Heitmann

Crown College baseball is proud to announce Coach Heitmann has joined the coaching staff as Head Pitching Coach. Heitmann has a distinguished playing and coaching career.

Over the course of 4 years at Bethel University, Heitmann had a very successful collegiate career. In 2015 he was named to the All-MIAC team, in addition to being honored as an All-Central Region pitcher. He earned the distinction of MIAC Defensive Pitcher of the Year in 2016, and MIAC Pitcher of the Week on six occasions throughout his career. His senior year he was a preseason All-American. While serving as the captain of the 2016 Royals team, Tyler also had success in the highly-regarded Northwoods League with the Willmar Stingers. He was even named Northwood Pitcher of the Night as the Stinger set a franchise record for single-season wins. 

Tyler also has significant & unique coaching experience. In 2014 he spent the summer in Slovakia playing for the national team and coaching  young athletes. There he was rewarded with Coach of the Year honors. He is currently the head coach for Roseville's Legion team where he was honored as the Jim Bass 4th District Coach of the Year in 2016. He also served as the varsity pitching coach for the Roseville high school team where he dropped the team ERA in half 10.8 down to a 4.6. He currently resides in Roseville.
