Jace Baumann, a former standout pitcher at University of Wisconsin-Stout, will be serving in his first year as a graduate assistant coach. Baumann is a Mosinee, Wisconsin native who comes to the program with years of Collegiate baseball experience.

The former UW-Stout ace racked up 139 innings on the mound over a five-year career, ranking 16th all-time in Innings Pitched. Baumann also recorded 95 strikeouts in his career, ranking 17th all-time at for UW-Stout program. Baumann ranks 1st in UW-Stout history for single season ERA with a 1.47 ERA in 18.1 innings pitched.

Along with his Career at Stout Baumann pitched 4 summers in the Northwoods League. The Northwoods League is one of the nations premier collegiate summer baseball leagues, having hosted players such as Brandon Crawford, Max Scherzer and Pete Alonso. Baumann played all 4 seasons with the Wausau Woodchucks totaling 96.1 innings on the mound over his Northwoods League Career.

Baumann graduated from UW-Stout with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Minor in Health and Wellness. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in Sports Coaching and Administration from Crown.
