St. Bonifacius, MN — Crown women's soccer earned its first conference win of the season on Wednesday night, using a strong offensive performance and a late spark from Brayli Reimer to defeat North Central.
Reimer, already known across campus as an all-conference basketball player and runner, made an impressive entrance into the soccer lineup. In her debut, she delivered one of the biggest moments of the night, scoring in the 83rd minute off an assist from Layla Kerr.
Just minutes later, Reimer made another impact. In the 89th minute, she assisted Eva Starkey on the final goal of the match, helping Crown close out a memorable UMAC victory.
The Polars' offense showed up in a big way throughout the night, totaling 25 shots and consistently applying pressure to the North Central back line. Crown created chances from start to finish and turned that pressure into the program's first conference win of the season.
The victory gives the Polars a major boost as they continue through UMAC play. Crown will return to action Saturday, traveling to St. Paul to face the University of Northwestern at 2 p.m.
