SUPERIOR, Wis. – The Crown College men's and women's golf teams competed at the 8th Annual Twin Ports Collegiate hosted by UW-Superior at Nemadji Golf Course on Sept. 18-19.

The Polar women placed 12th out of 14 teams, while the men finished 17th in a 17-team field.

For the women, Shelby Cash led Crown with a tie for 11th-place finish after carding rounds of 80 and 77 to finish the tournament at 15-over par. Autumn Hill finished 58th with rounds of 94 and 103, while Ceci Escalante placed 75th after shooting 108 and 110. Nicole Baker rounded out the lineup with rounds of 107 and 112 to finish 76th. As a team, the Polars finished 223-over par for the tournament.

On the men's side, Steven Dimmel and Grant Bestland paced Crown, both finishing tied for 44th at 15-over par. Dimmel opened with an 81 before improving to a 78 in the final round, while Bestland followed rounds of 81 and 79. Carter Miller and Dimitri Mesnickow tied for 90th with tournament scores of 29-over par, and Grant Oakland finished 99th at 37-over. The Polars posted a team score of 89-over par across the two-day event.

Crown will return to action on Sept. 22 when it hosts the Polar Invite at Island View Golf Course in Waconia, Minnesota.
