BECKER, Minn. – The Crown College men's and women's golf teams competed at the UMAC Preview on Thursday at Pebble Creek Golf Club, with the men finishing sixth out of seven teams and the women placing fifth out of six teams.
The men's team was paced by Steven Dimmel, who tied for 21st after carding a 79. Grant Bestland followed in a tie for 24th with an 80, while Dimitri Mesnickow finished tied for 30th with an 82. Carter Miller added an 86 and Grant Oakland rounded out the scoring lineup with a 90.
Competing as individuals, Tristan Youngblood shot an 86, Brayden Oakland recorded a 93, Aidan Olson finished with a 94, and Angel Cottington carded a 97.
On the women's side, Shelby Cash turned in Crown's top individual finish of the day, placing eighth overall with a round of 87. Autumn Hill followed with a 112, while Cecilia Escalante posted a 117. Nicole Baker completed the lineup with a score of 146.
The Polars will look to build on several strong individual performances when they return to action at the Twin Ports Collegiate at Nemadji Golf Course in Superior, Wisconsin.
