Finally felt like spring in Mankato on Thursday. Sun was out and the heat radiated off the turf. Bethany put the ball in play early and capitalized on some defensive mistakes to take the lead. The score was 0-7 before
Brooklyn Ocker hit another double, adding to her impressive total already. She was able to score on a wild pitch to get the Polars on the board. Game one went to the Vikings 1-9.
Brooklyn Riley kept the Vikings at bay through 3 innings before they put together a 4-run inning to take the lead.
Megan Cryer finished out the game in the circle. Polars offense was unable to string anything together and dropped game two, 0-10.
Crown and Bethany will square off tomorrow morning for the final game of the series.
