Baseball Continues U.S. Bank Stadium Schedule Against St. Scholastica

Minneapolis, Minn. — The baseball team traveled to U.S. Bank Stadium for their third and fourth games of the season on Sunday. They lost both games of the doubleheader against the College of St. Scholastica.

The Polars dropped the first game 9–0 in seven innings. Caden Esquerra and Keegan Eastman both doubled for the only two hits the Polars recorded. Jackson Phillip got the start on the bump, and Joshua Light pitched a scoreless sixth inning.

The second game also went seven innings in an 18–4 Saints win. Leadoff hitter and shortstop Caden Esquerra went 2-for-2 with an RBI double and a walk. Bryan Gerbers, Blayke Reyburn, and Brayden Anderson all tallied hits, and an RBI groundout by Gerbers was followed by a two‑RBI single from Reilly in the seventh inning. Joshua Van Dam threw 1.2 scoreless innings after taking over in the first.

The Polars finish up their six‑game U.S. Bank Stadium schedule on Tuesday, March 3, with another doubleheader against Bethel University. On March 11, the team begins its spring break trip in Tucson, Arizona, against Hamline University.
