Mankato, Minn. - The Polars baseball team faced off with Bethany Lutheran on Friday afternoon and fell 6-0.
Crown started the game with a baserunner in scoring position but was unable to push
Drew Girtz across after two stolen bases. The Vikings tacked on a few runs in the 1st and 3rd innings and took the 2-0 lead. Crown was unable to string anything together offensively only totaling 2 hits on the day.
Jacob Van Dam pitched 5Â innings and allowed 3 earned runs.
Kyler Thruston and
Julian Encinas were the only two Polars to earn hits in the contest.
Crown falls to 12-11 on the season and 7-3 in UMAC play and will complete the three game series with the Vikings tomorrow with a doubleheader starting at 1pm.
