Northfield, Minn. – The Crown women's basketball team faced off with St. Olaf on Tuesday evening and fell by a score of 62-53.
The Polars started out hot knocking down two threes in the first few minutes from the likes of
Avery Youngblood and
Kendall Clark. Crown battled with the Oles and after five free throws to end the first quarter out in front 23-21. The Polars found themselves with a seven point lead to end the first half after holding the Oles to just 6 points in the second quarter. Crown held the 34-27 lead at the break.
St. Olaf battled back in the third quarter and eventually tied the score at 38-38 with 3:54 to play in the 3
rd. The score stayed close for the rest of the quarter and was tied at 42-42 after baskets from
Morgan Bednarek and
Jacee Glasgow. The Oles jumped out in front in the fourth quarter and held off the Polars as Crown fell 62-53.
Jacee Glasgow tabbed 16 points leading the offensive effort going 6-9 from the field. Bednarek totaled 13 rebounds with 6 of them being offensive rebounds. She also had 3 steals on the evening.
Sydney Cotten led with 3 assists.
Crown falls to 1-7 on the season and will next return home on Tuesday, December 9
th to take on Trinity Bible at 5pm.
