Superior, WI - Big first half from Superior proves too much for Crown men's soccer.
Crown men's soccer returned to UMAC postseason play, facing the top-seeded UW–Superior Yellowjackets for the third time this season. Superior pressed high from the opening whistle, striking twice within the first ten minutes to seize early control. By halftime, the Yellowjackets had added another goal, sending Crown into the break down 3–0. The second half continued in Superior's favor, as a fourth goal in the 57th minute sealed a 4–0 victory and punched their ticket to the UMAC Championship on Saturday.
Despite the loss, Crown's season continues in the NCCAA regional postseason tournament. The Polars will take on a familiar opponent, North Central University, in Des Moines, Iowa, on Tuesday at 4:15 p.m., hoping to earn a spot in the regional championship the following day.
