St. Peter, Minn. - The Polars Baseball team faced off with Gustavus Adolphus on Monday and fell by a score of 9-2.
Crown got on the scoreboard first after a single from
Mason Brock and an RBI base hit from
Ashton Long. The 1-0 lead was squashed after a 2 run bottom of the second inning from the Gusties. The Polars were able to tie the score at 2-2 after a Brock home run, his 10th home run of the season. From there on the Gusties outscored Crown 7-0 and the Polars fell 9-2.
Brock led the hitting with two hits and
William Hellard also put together a two hit game. Six different Polars took the mound with
Jackson Phillipp getting the start and pitching 4.2 innings.
Crown falls to 17-19 on the season and will take on Bethany Lutheran College to open the UMAC postseason tournament on Thursday, May 9th at 7pm in St. Paul, Minnesota on the campus of Northwestern.
