St. Paul, Minn. - The Polars Softball team battled with Northwestern on Saturday and fell by scores of 12-0 and 3-0.
Game one was all Northwestern as the Polars were unable to record any hits. Crown recorded just two baserunners as the Eagles totaled 12 runs and took the victory.Â
Game two was a battle as the Polars left a few runners on base before a 2 run 3rd inning from the Eagles. The 2-0 lead from Northwestern was extended to 3-0 in the bottom half of the 5th inning. Crown totaled 4 hits on the afternoon but fell 3-0 after 7 innings of play.
Emmy Romportl led the Crown offense with 2 hits on 4 at bats.
Catelyn Garza and
Sydney Gardner both notched hits in the game.
Crown completes the 2024 regular season with an overall record of 6-31 and a UMAC record of 4-14.
