St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The Polars volleyball team faced off with the #22 ranked Northwestern Eagles on Saturday and fell in three sets.
The first point of the match went Crown's way, then the Eagles rattled off eight straight points. Northwestern would go on to win the first set 25-8. The second set saw the Eagles pull out in front and maintain the lead for the set with the score favoring the Eagles 25-16. The third set saw the Eagles finish the match by a score of 25-7.
Emma Bottelberghe and
Kiana Kendall led the Polars on the offensive end with 5 kills each.
Brooke Rummel led Crown with 11 assists.
Ellie Fuller tallied 9 digs.
The Polars fall to 6-16 on the season and 1-13 in UMAC play. Crown will next head to the NCCAA DII North Regional tournament starting on Tuesday, November 12
th.
