St. Bonifacius, Minn. - The Polars women's basketball team faced off with Faith Baptist on Friday night and fell 62-54.
The first quarter saw both teams trade buckets with the score tied 8-8 with 5:48 to go. The Polars got hot late in the quarter rattling off eleven points with three's from
Brayli Reimer,
Jacee Glasgow, and
Emma Kingsley. Crown led at the end of the first 19-14. A slow offensive second and third quarter from Crown left them down by 17 points heading into the fourth quarter.
Once again Crown was able to find some life in the fourth quarter after pressuring the ball. Crown was able to cut the Eagles lead to just 11 points with 3:38 to go. A late three point attempt from
Morgan Aylsworth cut the score to 60-52 with 20 seconds left and the Polars fell 62-54.
Reimer tallied a season high 24 points and also led the Polars with 7 rebounds. Aylsworth totaled 14 points. As a team the Polars shot 30.8% from the field going 20-65. The Eagles dominated on the boards totaling 48 rebounds compared to Crown's 26.
The Polars fall to 0-3 on the season and will next head on the road tomorrow Saturday, November 16th to take on #13 ranked UW-Stout at 6pm.Â
