New Ulm, Minn. - The Polars men's soccer team battled with Martin Luther on Saturday and earned their 7th UMAC win.
Four minutes into the contest Crown found the back of the net when
Ashton Hosler fired one in off a ball in from
Juan Fernando Arriaga. In the 10th minute Hosler scored again to give the Polars a 2-0 lead. The scoring continued with
Juan Fernando Arriaga earning his 5th goal of the season. A dominant first half for the Polars was capped off with a
Duilio Del Carpio penalty kick goal to make the score 4-0 heading into the break.
The second half stayed even and the Polars came out on top 4-0. The Polars outshot the Knights 14-2 in the first half and 23-10 overall. Goalkeeper
Leo Roque notched another clean sheet along with 4 saves from the contest.Â
Crown moves to 7-7 overall and 7-3 in UMAC play, currently sitting third in the conference standings. The Polars return home on Tuesday, October 22nd to face off with Northland College at 4:30pm.
