Winona, MN - The Polars Men's Basketball team faced off with Winona State on Tuesday and fell 90-69 in an exhibition match up.
The Warriors took a commanding first half lead early on as they jumped ahead 22-9. Winona State stretched the lead to over twenty five points and the half ended with the score 47-24 in the Warriors favor. The second half was more favorable for the Polars as they outscored the Warriors in the second half but Crown fell by a score of 90-69.
Tyrus Buckner and
Sawyer Kaczmarek led the scoring for Crown as Buckner finished with 17 points and Kaczmarek ended with 13 points.
Alec Testerman led the rebounding with 6 rebounds. Crown played a total of 13 players in the exhibition and shot 44.6% from the field as a team.
Crown will next face off with the UM-Morris Cougars on Saturday, January 6th at 4:45pm in a crucial UMAC matchup in which both teams are 2-0 in conference play.Â
