Morris, MN - The Polars Women's Basketball team faced off with the UM-Morris Cougars on Saturday and fell 71-39.
The Cougars jumped out inn front early and after a three pointer from
Sydney Cotten and a bucket from
Isabelle Sager, Crown answered back. A strong offensive effort from Morris in the quarter left the Polars shortly behind 18-11. Morris continued to pour on the points in the second and third quarters as the Crown offense struggled to get points up on the board. The Cougars extended their lead to more than twenty as the Polars fell 71-39.
Isabelle Sager led the scoring for Crown as she has 11 points. She also led the team with 8 rebounds.
Brayli Reimer followed closely behind with 10 points of her own.
Elli Hemann also grabbed 6 rebounds in the contest.
Crown will look to bounce back in a Friday, February 2nd contest on the road at Bethany Lutheran with tip-off set for 5:30pm.
