New Ulm, MN - The Polars headed on the road for a rescheduled UMAC contest and took down the Knights 4-0.
Following a balanced start to the match, the Polars got their first major opportunity with a yellow card against Martin Luther resulting in a penalty kick.
Joaquin Silva made the most of this first opportunity and put it in the back of the net for the 1-0 lead. Just thirteen minutes later, Crown found themselves in the same situation and
Serni Batalla scored on a penalty kick to push the score to 2-0 and it stayed there for the end of the first half. Late in the second half Crown notched two more goals off the foot of Sant Ciro and
Sebastian Bocanegra.
Juan Fernando Arriaga and
Joaquin Silva both notched assists as the Polars had four different goal scorers.
Leo Roque started in goal and posted a clean sheet with five saves.
The Polars move to 3-5-1 on the season and 2-1-1 in UMAC play. Crown will head on the road for Wednesday, September 27th at Bethany Lutheran for a crucial conference match at 4:30pm.
