Pella, IA - Polars Volleyball took on Monmouth and Grinnell in the second and final day of the Central/Grinnell Invitational and Crown lost both 3-0.
Crown faced off with Monmouth first and fell in three sets by scores of 25-13, 25-16, and 25-21. The second contest of the day Crown fell in three sets to Grinnell by scores of 25-13, 25-16, and 25-22.
Jocelynn Shockley led the offensive effort in the combined two games with 11 kills.
Alyssa Heagney followed closely behind with 10 kills in the two contests.
Shaelyn McNeill and
Kamber Brown led the Polars in assists with 19 and 17 respectively. Defensively
Kamille Massey totaled 5 blocks in the middle.
Maggie Claussen totaled 28 digs and 19 in the match against Grinnell for her career high.
The Polars fall to 0-4 on the year and will travel to St. Paul, Minnesota on Wednesday, September 6th to take on the Hamline Pipers at 7pm.
