Women's Soccer Ties With Cougars 2-2

St. Bonifacius, MN - The Polars Women's Soccer team faced off with the Minnesota Morris Cougars on Tuesday and ended in a tie 2-2.

The Polars maintained possession early on but the Cougars capitalized with a goal in the 17th minute. The offense came alive for Crown late in the first half as a deflected bal gave Emma Domka an easy opportunity to score her second goal of the year. Just 2 minutes later a stellar pass from Ella Hosmer gave Ashley Pierce her opportunity and she found the back of the net to take the 2-1 lead. The second half saw Crown repeat the shot total from the first half and shrink the Cougars opportunities, but a late score from the Cougars tied it up at 2-2 and the score finished there.

Emma Domka scored her second goal of the season. Ashley Pierce notched her first goal of the year as well with an assist going to Hosmer. The Polars outshot the Cougars 26-8 with 16 of them being on goal. Rachel Fuller played the full 90 minutes as the goalkeeper and totaled 5 saves.

The Polars move to 1-5-1 and 1-1-1 in UMAC play and will head to Martin Luther on Saturday, September 23rd for a 4:30pm contest.
