Dubuque, IA - The Crown College Men's Soccer team faced off with the Emmaus Bible College Eagles on Saturday and took the win 4-3.
Just two minutes into the contest freshman forward
Timmy Jackson scored his third goal of the season to give the Polars an early 1-0 lead. Emmaus answered back with two goals of their own in the 16th and 33rd minutes to move the score to 2-1.
Serni Batalla scored his first goal of the season late in the first half with just 9 minutes to left in the half. Just eight minutes later the Polars struck the back of the net again as
Ashton Hosler scored his second goal of the season to put the score at 3-2 Crown going into the half. A goal from Emmaus tied things up in the 64th minute of the match. Batalla once again had an answer as he scored his second goal of the match and the Polars came out with a 4-3 victory.
Crown moves to 1-3 on the season and starts UMAC play on Wednesday, September 13th at 4:30pm at home taking on the Northland College Lumberjacks.
