Polars Roll to 95-57 Win, Royston Adds Another Double Double

Dubuque, IA - The Crown Men's Basketball team faced off with the Calvary Bible Warriors in the NCCAA North Regional Tournament coming out on top 95-57.

The first half started out close through the first five minutes with the score at 13-11 in the Polars favor. The rest of the first half saw Crown pour on the scoring with the Polars going on a 30-10 run through the half. Crown never really looked back scoring 52 points in the second half and cruising to a NCCAA regional tournament victory. Crown totaled 13 players who got on the scoreboard with minutes distributed amongst the team. 

Jacob Masek led the scoring for Crown with 17 points shortly followed by the likes of Seth Royston with 10 points. Royston added two more blocks to his career record and also led the rebounding for Crown grabbing ten rebounds. Alec Testerman, Cade Carroll, Levi Royston, and Carter Behne all added 8 points on the evening.

The Polars shot 47.6% from the field going 39-82 and 35.7% from the three point line going 10-28 from deep. Crown totaled 52 points in the paint and 22 second chance points.

Crown returns to action Friday, March 3rd at 7pm for the NCCAA North Region Semifinal with their opponent to be determined with a chance to move on to the region final.
