St. Bonifacius, MN - The Polars Women's Soccer team faced off with the Faith Baptist Eagles on Tuesday in the NCCAA Region Semifinal and won 6-1.
From start to finish the Polars held the lead as the first two goals for Crown came in the first ten minutes.
Emma Domka scored her 6th goal of the year with a ball in from
Lexi Shreve in the 4th minute.
Laura Anderson notched her second goal of the year on another well placed ball from Shreve. The Eagles answered back in the fourteenth minute to cut the lead to 2-1. Crown answered back seven minutes alter with a goal from
Ashley Pierce with the assist going to
Ella Hollander. The first half would finish with Crown out in front 3-1.
The second half saw goals from
Ella Hollander,
Abigail Shull, and
Ellie Schanbacher. For Hollander and Shull it was their second goals of the season and for Schanbacher it was her 3rd. The Polars outshot the Eagles 37 to 6 and goalkeeper
Rachel Fuller notched 4 saves. Crown ended up on top 6-1.
The Polars will return to action for the NCCAA North Regional Final on Wednesday for a 12pm kickoff against the Providence Pilots
(Canada).
