Women's Soccer Battles to Draw With Eagles

St. Bonifacius, MN - The Polars faced Northwestern on Saturday and finished with a 1-1 tie.

In the first few minutes goalkeeper Rachel Fuller made a few tough saves as she did throughout the match. Crown was out shot 22 to 6 in the contest with the lone goal from the Eagles coming first in the 50th minute. Crown found their own answer with a goal coming from Ashley Pierce in the 60th minute. The final stretch saw Crown hold defensively and the score ended at 1-1.

Pierce took four of the Polars shots and scored her 3rd goal of the season. Fuller totaled 12 saves in the contest.

Crown moves to 2-8-2 overall and 2-4-2 in UMAC play and will travel to UM-Morris on October 11th for a 1pm contest.
