Morris, MN - The Polars Women's Soccer team went on the road and took down the UM-Morris Cougars 4-0 on Wednesday.
Crown found the back of the net early just over a minute into the match as
Ellie Schanbacher scored her second goal of the year on a ball in from
Ashley Pierce. The Cougars then took a few shots of their own with two saves from
Rachel Fuller. Pierce would score to take a 2-0 lead with the assist going to
Emma Domka. The first half would finish with the Polars out in front.
After an even start to the second half freshman
Millie Hosmer notched her first career goal in the 69th minute. About two minutes later
Emma Domka scored to take the 4-0 lead with an assist from Schanbacher. Domka's goal notches her 17th career goal.
Goalkeeper
Rachel Fuller totaled 9 saves and a clean sheet in the full 90 minutes. Four goals from Crown coming from four different players led to the Polars victory. Crown led in shots 21-15 on the day.
The Polars move to 3-8-2 on the year and 3-4-2 in UMAC play and will return home on Saturday to face off with the Martin Luther Knights.
