Women's Soccer Wins 4th Straight With 3 Second Half Goals

Minneapolis, MN - The Polars Women's Soccer team went on the road to face off with the North Central Rams and won 3-1.

An even first half saw neither team able to score with the Polars leading in shots 7-2. Early in the second half the Rams struck first to take a 1-0 lead. Two minutes later in the 55th minute Millie Hosmer scored her second goal of the year to even the score. With just five minutes to play the Polars scored the difference maker off the foot of Lexi Shreve with an a ball in from Laura Anderson. A late penalty saw Emma Domka get the opportunity to set up for a penalty kick and she capitalized finishing off the match at 3-1.

Rachel Fuller totaled 1 save in goal for Crown. The Polars led in both shots and corner kicks with 19 shots compared to the Rams six and 11 corner kicks to the Rams four.

The Polars moved to 6-8-2 overall and won their fourth straight while their UMAC record moved to 6-4-2 on the year with two matches to play. Crown currently sits in 4th in the conference.
