Ashland, WI - The Polars Women's Soccer team faced off with Northland College on the road and came out with a 2-1 win.
An early offensive push from Crown left the door open for 
Emma Domka when she sent a deflection in to the net on a great cross from 
Ellie Schanbacher. Crown continued to fires shots in with 9 shots in the first half compared to 2 from Northland. The next goal would come from Crown once again in th 73rd minute as 
Lexi Shreve sent one in low for her first goal of the season and a 2-0 lead. The Lumberjills answered in the waning seconds, but the final score finished 2-1 in the Polars favor.
Domka notched her 18th career goal and totaled 8 shots in the contest. Shreve fired three shots in and added a goal.
The Polars move to 5-8-2 on the season and 5-4-2 in UMAC play as they fight for a spot in the UMAC playoffs. The Polars will head on the road this Saturday, October 21st for a meeting with North Central at 1pm.
