Morris, MN - The Crown College Polars Men's Soccer team wen ton the road and defeated UM-Morris 4-1.
This first goal of the day was scored by
Joaquin Silva for his fourth goal of the season with an assist going to
Serni Batalla. The 1-0 lead was stretched to two when
Ashton Hosler connected for his fourth goal of the season on a ball in from
Jose Lovera. Five minutes later Crown connected again to stretch the lead to 3-0 when
Jose Lovera scored his first goal of the season.
The second half started even through the first 22 minutes of the second half when the Cougars scored to cut the Crown lead to 3-1. The Polars answered right back with a goal from
Timmy Jackson with an assist going to
Isaac Schulz and the score would end 4-1.
Leo Roque totaled 3 saves through 90 minutes in goal. Crown out shot UM-Morris 24 to 13 with shots on goal also favoring Crown 12 to 3.
The Polars move to 5-7-2 on the season and 4-3-2 in UMAC play as they will return home on Saturday for a 3:30pm match with Martin Luther.
