Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Pair of Early Goals Sink Polars

St. Paul, Minn. – The Crown Polars men's soccer team continued their early-season non-conference slate on Tuesday with a matchup in the state capital against the Hamline Pipers.  The hosts scored twice inside the first seven minutes and the two teams then played to a stalemate for the duration of the contest, giving Hamline a 2-0 victory.

The Pipers scored in the fourth and seventh minutes, striking quickly and threatening to run away from the visiting Polars, but the game settled in with Crown managing seven shots in the game.  Unfortunately, only two of those were on target as Hamline had the lion's share of chances in the match.

Luca Kaltenbach and Angel Salinas registered the two shots on target for the Polars while Leo Roque made seven saves.
The Polars will host Bethel University on Saturday at Old National Bank Stadium.  Kickoff is set for 4 p.m
