Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men’s Soccer Falls to Bethel

St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The Crown men's soccer team continued their non-conference schedule with a home matchup against the Bethel Royals.  The visitors scored a first half penalty and then added a second goal from the spot early in the second half en route to a 4-1 victory.
In a physical matchup, the Polars held their own with the MIAC squad despite conceding on the early penalty kick.  The halftime score was just 1-0 as Bethel held an 8-3 advantage on shots in the opening 45 minutes.

The Royals poured on the pressure in the second half, scoring again on an early penalty and then adding a pair of goals before ten minutes were gone in the half.  They finished with a 22-5 advantage in shots.

Crown got a late consolation goal as they welcomed key man Tim Jaeger back to the lineup after he suffered an ankle injury in pre-season training.  Jaeger set up Emerson Greseth who score his second goal of the season to get Crown on the board in the 74th minute.
Leo Roque made eight saves in the match.

Crown will host Rockford University next Tuesday before opening UMAC play under the lights on homecoming against Minnesota Morris.
