Menomonie, Wis. – The Crown football team suffered a 66-6 loss on the road at UW-Stout on Saturday, their final non-conference game of the season.
The Polars trailed 49-0 at halftime and were outgained 497-163 by a tough WIAC opponent.
Crown was held to just four yards of total offense in a difficult first half that saw UW-Stout score on their first four possessions.
The Blue Devils gained 389 yards on the ground and rolled up eight rushing touchdowns.
Crown was led offensively by
Elijah Odom who threw for 134 yards and rushed for 22 more. The senior transfer was 16-36 with one touchdown and two interceptions.
Isaiah Anfield was Crown's top receiving target with five catches for 75 yards and the Polar's lone touchdown of the day.
Rudy Criner had 14 tackles to lead the defense while
Dametre Forshee had nine stops, including 1.5 tackles for loss.
Crown will be looking forward to their conference slate from this point forward, with their first UMAC matchup of the season next Saturday at Martin Luther. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
