Cade Carroll Wins Second Straight UMAC Player of the Week Award

St. Bonifacius, MN - Cade Carroll continued his run of dominance in UMAC play over the weekend by claiming UMAC Player of the Week for the second week in a row and the third time this season. The junior averaged a massive 32 points per game in what ended up being a huge weekend not only for him individually, but the men's basketball program as a whole. Crown went on the road and swept both North Central and Northwestern.

Friday night in Minneapolis saw Carroll go for 28 points and 7 rebounds in a 85-62 win over the Rams. Friday night's win set the stage for a huge showdown on Saturday with the previously undefeated in UMAC play Northwestern Eagles. Crown put together a complete performance from start to finish with Carroll leading the way with a season high 36 points while also adding 10 rebounds to his total. The win helped Crown keep pace with Bethany Lutheran for the number 2 overall seed in the UMAC Tournament which will begin in a couple weeks.

Crown will travel down to Mankato for a matchup with the Vikings of Bethany Lutheran on Friday night at 7:15 in a game where the winner will have control over the number 2 seed behind Northwestern. Following that contest on Friday night, Crown will then travel to Martin Luther to take on the Knights in a game that will tip off at 4:45.
