St. Paul, Minn. - The Polars men's basketball team faced off with the North Central University Rams on Saturday, falling 69-53 in a close battle.
The Polars jumped out to an early 10-7 lead after a couple threes from Jacob Van Dam and Carter Behne. A few Polars jumpers from Jacob Masek tied it up at 19-19 after the Rams jumped out to a lead. A couple buckets from both teams and a couple threes from the Rams put the Polars down 30-26 at half.
The Rams knocked down a couple buckets early in the second half to push the lead to 47-38. The Rams stayed out in front for the rest of the game and the Polars couldn't climb back into it falling 69-53.
Seth Royston once again led the Polars offense scoring 15 going 7-15 from the field and 1-5 from three point range. Carter Behne followed with 10 points and Micah Ladd totaled 8 points on the day.
Jacob Masek led Crown on the boards totaling 7 rebounds. The Polars as a team shot 32.3% from the field and 20.8% from three point range.Â
Crown falls to 7-3 on the season and 0-2 in UMAC play. The Polars will return home for a non-conference matchup with Bethel Friday, December 16th at 7pm.
