Superior, WI – The Crown men's soccer team took on the #1 seeded UW-Superior Yellowjackets on Wednesday in the UMAC Postseason tournament but a complete performance from the top seeded Yellowjackets led to a 6-1 loss for the Polars.
The game got off to an ominous start as the Yellowjackets scored just 1 minute and 59 seconds in and added three more goals in the first half sending the Polars into the locker room at half down 4-0.
Juan Fernando Arriaga scored the lone goal of the night for the Polars on an impressive ball in from
Tim Jaeger.
Superior came out hot in the second half as well, grabbing goals in 47
th and the 66
th minute to jump ahead 6-1.
Crown was able to stabilize things for the last 24 minutes and keep UW-superior off the scoreboard for the rest of the match but couldn't generate much in attack as the final score was 6-1. Crown was outshot 25-3 overall.
The Polars will head to the NCCAA north regional tournament and will go on the road to take on the Faith Baptist Bible College Eagles Friday, Nov. 4
th at 11:30am.
