St. Bonifacius, Minn. – Two goals propelled the Crown men's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over the Emmaus Bible College Eagles on Wednesday. The Polars held a commanding advantage in shots 15-3 and held on in tough conditions for the win.
Angel Salinas started the Polars on the front foot after he was played in by
Diego Romero on a corner and scored 20 minutes into the game.
The Eagles scratched one on the board on a contested play at the net resulting in a goal for Yohan Lee.
Crown got a second on an effort from outside the box,
Diego Romero took a left foot shot from distance, scoring a goal that proved to be the game-winner in the 60th minute.
The Polars will move on in the NCCAA north regional tournament and take on the Faith Baptist Bible College Eagles Friday Nov. 4
th at 11:30am.
