St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The Crown women's basketball team ran into a tough opponent on Saturday, losing to UW-River Falls by a score of 86-52. The visiting Falcons held a 52-21 advantage at the half and never looked back.
Madi Hecox led the Polars with 15 points and five assists and McKenzie Latzke once again reached double figures with 14. The Polars were held to just 37.3% shooting in the contest, and actually shot better from behind the arc, going 10-26 for 38.5% on a night where baskets were hard to come by.
The Polars are back in action next Tuesday as they travel to NCAA Division II Southwest Minnesota State University for another exhibition contest.
