St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The Crown women's soccer team played to a stalemate with visiting Northland College on Saturday afternoon, splitting the points with the Lumberjills. Despite holding a 12-4 advantage in shots, Crown simply couldn't find a breakthrough and now have eight points through six conference matches and a 2-2-2 record.
Crown fired 12 shots at the Northland goal, with
Ashley Pierce and
Emma Domka accounting for half of those with three shots apiece. Pierce and
Abigail Shull had two shots on target, but neither side could find the elusive winner.
Ellie Taylor stopped four shots to earn a clean sheet, and the Polars will look ahead to a critical pair of UMAC matchups next week as the team travels to Martin Luther and Bethany Lutheran.
