Domka Hat Trick Propels Women’s Soccer to Homecoming Win

St. Bonifacius, Minn. – Emma Domka scored a first-half hat trick as the Crown women's soccer team cruised to a 3-0 win over North Central on Saturday night. Wrapping up the homecoming festivities in style, Domka scored on two direct free kicks and added a third before half time to provide all the offense Crown would need as they evened their record at 3-3 on the season.

Crown dominated the proceedings throughout, firing 28 shots to just 11 for the visitors. The shot disparity of 17-3 in the first half was an accurate reflection of how the Storm controlled the action.

Molly Schmitz earned the clean sheet in goal, making five saves and showing off sure hands and excellent positioning. The sophomore keeper made a top save late in the second half, getting down well to her right to snuff out the Ram's best chance of the evening.

Domka was a terror throughout, finishing with 14 shots, just one shy of the record 15 by Megan Wright in 2014.

Crown was again playing through injury and had only one substitute available, with eight players completing the full 90 minutes.

The Storm are back in action as they vie for a UMAC playoff spot, traveling to UW-Superior and Northland for two huge conference games this weekend.
