3-0 Victory for Crown over Trinity Bible

St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The Crown volleyball team recorded their first win of the season on Friday night, besting NCCAA opponent Trinity Bible College three sets to none. The Storm won by scores of 25-12, 25-14, and 25-15 to comfortably breeze by the Lions.

Crown took advantage of 30 Trinity errors (19 attacking errors and eleven service errors) in the win, recording 16 kills of their own along the way. The home team was led by Gracie Zieroth who recorded seven kills and eight digs to pace the Storm in both categories. Abby Molan led Trinity with five kills.

Amy Martius led the Storm with six assists and three aces, with Gracie Zieroth also recording three aces in the match.

The Storm outperformed the Lions in every statistical category, playing a much more efficient match than their traveling opponents and held Trinity to a -.044 hitting percentage while swinging their way to a .113 mark for the match.

The Storm travel to North Central University tomorrow for an 11 a.m. start in what will be the opening match of UMAC play for the 2021 season.
