St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The Crown College Women's Soccer team played their first game of the week on Tuesday night at Old National Bank Stadium. The non-conference matchup came down to the wire with only one goal scored in the first eighty minutes of the match.

Crown battled back after Buena Vista scored early in the first half to take a 1-0 lead. Another goal by Buena Vista gave the Beavers a 2-0 lead before Freshman Ashley Pierce (Colorado Springs, CO) scored for Crown. Ashley was assisted by Senior Sidney Manske (Anoka, MN).Crown battled for all ninety minutes and now moves to 2-2 on the season.

The purple and white return home for two additional matches this week.Crown will host Lawrence on Friday at 2 p.m. as their final tune-up before opening their league slate.
