St. Bonifacius, Minn. – The Crown College women's soccer team moved to 2-1 on the season after defeating Faith Baptist 1-0. Crown's defense was impressive, limiting the Eagles to three shots on goal Tuesday night at Old National Bank Stadium.
With :56 seconds left in regulation,
Trinity Gregory scored her first collegiate goal to break a 0-0 stalemate.
Emma Kaiser assisted her. Crown won the shots on goal category and turned up the pressure in the second half to ensure the victory.
Molly Schmitz earned the shutout for Crown playing all 90 minutes in goal. This win marked the second career victory for head coach
Katie Carter and the first at home. Crown will return to their home turf on Saturday as they put their win streak up against Alverno at 1 p.m.
